What to Wear & How to Prep for Your Headshot Session

Stick to solid colours or small patterns — large prints and patterns can be distracting in the photos
Avoid Fully black tops — I can't tell you how often I hear that people want to "avoid a double chin" and "look slim" for their headshots... one of the best ways to support that is by avoiding fully black tops. Black absorbs light, instead of reflecting it- and the best way to have a soft and balanced face in photos is LIGHT... you want the clothing you are wearing to support that. Black isn't the enemy, don't get me wrong- but if you are going with black- add a contrasting colour in there for some dimension.
Avoid busy accessories- large statement accessories can draw the focus away from your face... we want the camera to show YOU and for your clients to see who you are!
Grooming matters! Get a fresh haircut, trim facial hair, and keep makeup natural.
Rest up the night before and hydrate for a fresh, glowing look.
